João is a 20 year old Economics students that wishes not to be an Economist. Fighting against the nowadays not so seldom paradigm of finishing or quitting uni, he tries to make the most of it, having founded the debating, strategy and entrepreneurship societies as well as joining some of his professors in academic research in the fields of entrepreneurship and human resources.
João has joined Jason Associates in the development of thetalentcity.com and has earlier this year joined Rocket Internet in the building and expansion of Groupon in China. Apart from the university related organizations he runs and advises, João is developing an online, video based platform to push information about the post high-school life and university to senior high-school students.
He is part of the team running SWITCH Conference, after hosting TEDxYouth@Porto and speaking at several Ignite sessions.
