Michael is the Executive Director of Asquith Israel Merchant Bank (AIMB), the first of its kind in Israel, which invests in growth companies. Michael is an SII-qualified corporate financier, with a background as a Challenge Graduate at BP Plc, focusing on Operations Excellence, before launching Asquith Venture, an entrepreneurial services consultancy, in 2004 and Asquith Renew, an incubator and advisor to recycling businesses, in 2007.
He has been an associate of Corham Capital LLP, a London-based FSA-regulated corporate finance house, since 2008 and since moving to Tel Aviv in 2009, is also an associate of IBDC Israel. Michael speaks French and Spanish, and writes regular opinion pieces for Times of Israel. He was also a founding member of Presentense Tel Aviv as a Coach and Steering Committee member.
As the originator of the AIMB concept and structure, Michael is responsible for maintaining its overall strategy and vision, and communication with investors, co-investors, media and the public. Michael also leads AIMB’s philanthropic endowment, the Asquith Nachshon Trust, whose activities include the launch of the Israeli chapter of the global TiE entrepreneurial network.
