The FIWARE platform allows you to test with real data, run trials with real users, get visibility and promotion, host permanent showcases, connect with potential customers and accelerate product development. It is based upon a series of elements (called Generic Enablers) that offer resable and commonly share functions serving multiple areas of use accross various sectors.
Smart Cities, eHealth, Transport, Energy, Environment, Education, Manufacturing and Logistics are some of the example where FIWARE technology can be applied.
At the FIWARE Bootcamp + Startup Weekend, you will:
- Learn how to program on the FIWARE platform
- Find out untapped FIWARE biz opps (there’s lots of them)

1) On the last Startup Weekend Lisbon, the startup Popcorn Metrics was created. They went on to join Lisbon Challenge, were one of the finalists (thus received $$$), and got invested by Seedcamp.This could be you.
2) After Startup Weekend, you can apply for the Open Calls of SOUL-FI or one of the other 15 FIWARE accelerators that offer 80,000,000€, mentorship and networking for web-entrepreneurs and SMEs.
