Diamantino Costa (Dino) is co-founder of Critical Software SA, an international software company headquartered in Coimbra, Portugal, with offices in Lisbon, Bucharest, Romania and San Jose, California.
He is also a Board member at Critical Software Technologies Limited, UK, Critical Links, US and Critical Materials, PT. At Critical Software, he is responsible for the Business Development, including R&D strategy.
He was formerly in charge of Business Development for Aeronautics, Space, De-fence and Transport markets at Critical Software, supervising European business operations.
Dino holds a BSc and an MSc in Informatics Engineering and Computer Systems Architecture from the University of Coimbra, Portugal. At Critical Software, he successfully growth and manage 2 business units operating on Space & Ground Software Systems, with a global customer base including the main world space agencies and leading Prime Contractors.
Dino has been a researcher at the Dependable Systems Group at the Center for In-formatics and Systems of the University of Coimbra since 1993 and prior to joining Critical Software. During his research activities, he has been author of more than 20 papers on conferences, workshops, magazines, and book chapters on the subject of computer software dependability. He is a member of IEEE since 1998.
