Ricardo is one of the co-founders of PHC, a 100% Portuguese Software house with 25 years of existence. PHC is also an international organization with offices in Lisbon, Oporto, Madrid, Luanda, Mozambique and UK. The PHC network is composed of 149 employees, more than 421 partners, more than 29,000 customers and over 134,500users.
Ricardo began his career as a financial and administrative officer at the Superior Technician Institute student’s association while studying management and business administration at the Portuguese Catholic University. During his studies, he was selected as CFO to refloat a company in the field of marble acquired by a large group.After this recovery challenge, he moved into the Marketing area as Product Manager at Colgate-Palmolive where he specialized in marketing with an MBA at the Catholic University in 1995.
In 1989 he founded PHC with few resources in the beginning but strongly committed. After some years, in 1996, PHC was a pioneer in the passage from DOS to Windows versions, and 4 years later, PHC was the 1st Portuguese Software house with a complete range of products based on Microsoft SQL Server.
Ricardo leads this successful and recognized software house conquering recognized awards from various entities for its performance and innovative spirit.
